Cling is a fast file finder for Mac. Type part of a name, and results appear in under 50ms. Fuzzy matching finds files even when you misspell the query.

Cling runs on its own search index. It finds system files, hidden files, dotfiles, and app data, which Spotlight skips. Search external drives and network shares too, even when a drive is unplugged.

Act on a file right away. Open it, copy it, batch rename, preview with QuickLook, stash it, or run your own script with a hotkey. Send files through a private link straight from your Mac, or drop them into the focused field of another app.

Cling also includes an MCP server for AI agents, as well as Raycast and Alfred integrations.

The free version covers core search and actions, with a 500-result cap. Pro adds content search, external drive indexing, a file server for your phone, and custom scripts. A Pro license costs €10 for life after a 14-day trial. Cling needs macOS 14 or later.
