Assist for Mac lets you annotate your screen by holding the Option key, drawing over what you see, and speaking to add a voice‑powered description; the app saves the annotated screenshot together with a local transcript. It also lets you take a clean full‑screen screenshot with Control + Option, which is saved immediately and can be edited in a small toolbar that appears under the notch for cropping, blurring, or adding borders.

The app maintains a local clipboard history that pairs copied text with the screenshots you capture, so you can retrieve and reuse text or images from a single shelf accessed via the notch. All data stays on the Mac, requiring only screen‑recording permission, and runs on macOS 14 or later with Apple‑silicon support for the optional voice transcription.
