Common Questions

How does the extension handle Slack's deletion limits?

The extension respects Slack's built-in rate limits and processes deletions safely over time. Larger cleanup jobs may take longer, but won't risk account suspension.

Can non-admin users delete other people's messages?

No, non-admin users can only delete their own messages due to Slack's permission restrictions. Only workspace admins and owners can delete all messages.

Does this extension store my Slack data externally?

All operations happen locally in your browser. The extension doesn't send your data to external servers, ensuring complete privacy and security.

What happens to starred and pinned messages?

You can choose to include or exclude starred and pinned messages in your deletion filters, giving you complete control over what gets removed from your workspace.
