Yomi is a reading companion app for children ages 5‑9, featuring a cute cat who loves listening to stories. Kids choose short stories at three reading levels—easy, medium, or hard—and read them aloud. As they read, Yomi “gets fed,” growing happier with each word, which encourages more reading practice. The app also includes a story‑making tool where children pick a name, character, setting, and plot, and Yomi writes the rest for them to read back.

Designed for a stress‑free experience, Yomi has no ads, no accounts, and no streaks, keeping the focus on reading. It supports English and Finnish, offers safe, ad‑free reading, and avoids replacing teachers by simply giving kids a reason to practice the reading skills they’re already learning.
