Knecht is a self‑hosted platform that automates routine work for development projects by booting a project on its own server, performing the assigned task, and opening a pull request with a preview. Instead of manually moving tickets between systems and chasing changes through the codebase, Knecht listens for events—whether triggered by GitHub issues, Jira tickets, scheduled jobs, or custom webhooks—and executes the defined workflow directly within the running application.

This approach removes the bottleneck of repetitive deployment, configuration, and quality‑check operations that agencies face when they maintain multiple projects. By connecting to tools such as GitHub, Jira, and CI pipelines, Knecht turns each ticket into a concrete action: it boots the target repository, applies the required steps, creates a pull request, and provides a clickable preview that links directly back to the original ticket. The system retains logs, results, and preview environments, allowing developers to verify outcomes before merging.
